When you think you know what you're talking about but your argument gets "nipped" in the bud.

Kyle: "Man, I was on Reddit and saw some dude have a name as some obscure word on Urban Dictionary and got shut down!"
Brian: "Damn man that sucks, sounds like you were pretty nipish there."
