To fabricate data, a sham, a mockery of the truth.

Instead of doing research Fred sat around and got high. With three hours left before having to present his findings he Moncktoned some figures together to show the desired result.

Since his audience was uninformed and because Fred was naturally convincing, nobody bothered to check his data.
