Usu. connotes an air of sarcasm, if not fully calling oneself out on being absolutely ridiculous and/or silly in how boisterous, disgustingly "cutesie," or self-important one's statement is.

--"I was just in there to say 'hi' while I was on my way to the bathroom."
"Aw, I was just in the bathroom!"
