When a gentleman or sir takes a walk to let one rip out of courtesy to spare others from the rotten stench.

Courtesy hole 

The thoughtful act of sticking your foot out from under the bed covers to release your stinky fart odour at the end of the bed, rather than let it seep into your partner's face. Particularly useful in a new relationship.

"I'm sorry lover, I have bubble bum tonight"

"Okay honey, please create a courtesy hole if you don't mind".
