slang term adding (Nerd + Therapist). Christ Hardwick. One who uses wit, humor, intelligence, and talent for the purpose of providing therapeutic assistance to "Nerds" or those with "Nerdistic" tendencies.

I was spiraling into a black metal depression until the "Nerdist" gave me a way to laugh again.
