Pentagooning

The process of gaining immense satisfaction of writing up reports and procedures that others will have to in turn read or force others to implement and follow.

Also the process of drawing a mix of satisfaction and pain from reading other's reports and suggested procedures for you to process and then write up your own follow up report or suggestion on current or future procedures.

The process of doing something thats either going to piss everyone off or make everyone profoundly happy. We're still working on the second one, but I think the engineering side of it gets pretty close sometimes.

Note: This was inspired by reading about how the Army and Marines Trucks and Humvees were obliterated quite often by IED's during GWOT, but often left the occupants alive if wounded, but alive. And I thought to myself. You know what, the Pentagon does good sometimes even when we don't realize it. And theirs other times what seems like a bad idea can turn out to be quite wise.
I was enjoying writing my emails so much that I was going to send in to the Pentagon that you might say I was Pentagooning.

(Secondary) We were listening to war stories and started Pentagooning when we realized how much foresight and planning went into keeping everyone alive and the materials they needed to win.
