The invisible barrier that sets your geek side apart from your normal self, used to protect other people from seeing your geekiness.

It's the difference between talking about sex and talking about Star Wars.

Joe made sure his geekwall was set, and headed out to the party.

conlag

Short for "conversation lag". When you chat online, your message can sometimes come out after someone else's message, causing confusion.

A word you use in place of a word not-yet invented. Invented by why the lucky stiff.

It’s over between me and words. I’d love to stick around and exploit them each, one after another, but it’s all becoming quite predictable, wouldn’t you say? Eventually, they will all be used and I’d have to come up with fake words and that would be way too cnoofy.
