Lace up

A phrase that originated in prison but is used amongst Peckerwood/Skinhead subculture (and no doubt other similar groups) to indicate getting ready to fight.
When an altercation has reached the point of physical violence often prisoners will go and make sure they have footwear on before initiating the confrontation.
"I'm done talking to you, Wood, go and lace up"
