Phil’s mom

A self-proclaimed Italian cook whose food is so bad it could get her citizenship revoked by a country she doesn’t even live in.

Known for taking generations of Italian culinary tradition, beating it to death with a wooden spoon, drowning the body in jarred sauce, and serving it with a straight face.

Her pasta somehow manages to be overcooked, underseasoned, and emotionally exhausting. Her chicken parm tastes like it was breaded with attic insulation. Her meatballs have the density of regulation softballs. Her garlic bread could survive a house fire.

Every time she says, “It’s an old family recipe,” an Italian grandmother somewhere wakes up screaming.

Phil grew up thinking this was Italian food, which honestly explains a lot.
