reticide

• Reticide is the subtle and systematic annihilation of a mass group of people, usually not through direct violence, but through less overt means. Examples include propaganda encouraging the group not to reproduce, systematic pressure intended to encourage racial suicide, and institutional campaigns intended to stifle discussion or recognition of the killing through controlling of platforms of speech.

• Combines Reti-, which is Latin for “restrained silence” and -Cide, which is Latin for “kill”.
The whites of South Africa are being reticided out of existence, and already people are denying it.

cranial rectitis

1. n. A condition noted by behaving in such a puerile, obnoxious, and moronic manner as to have one's head up his or her ass. Note that things are dark and smelly for someone with this condition.
2. When someone is severely afflicted to the point that his or her shoulders are two-blocked against the buttocks, this is known as "perpendicular cranial rectitis."
Why do all those Hollywood idiots have such cranial rectitis?
Boy, Harry Reid debates with all the intellectual acumen of SpongeBob SquarePants. How did he contract perpendicular cranial rectitis?

reticulating splines

Nonsense technobabble used in a production context.

Reticulating splines started off as an in-joke at Maxis and grew to fame with the widespread popularity of The Sims. While it does have a "real" meaning, this definition isn't actually correct in the context of its use. It's really a programming joke.

Reticulating splines is essentially filler. Don't want to describe what's holding up the program? It's reticulating splines. Why isn't the Internet working? The splines aren't reticulated. Heck, don't want to explain your calculus assignment? We're reticulating splines this week.

Sorry the video took so long to upload. Reticulating splines took hours!

Reticent

A demeanor by which the individual does not readily display their thoughts or feelings. This individual may make an excellent undercover government operative or ninja.
His reticent demeanor made him extremely difficult to read.

I hesitate to articulate for fear that I may deviate from the true course of rectitude

I don't know. Literally. It means, I don't know.
Professor: Michael, what is the atomic weight of Uranium?
Michael: I hestiate to articulate for fear that I may deviate from the true course of rectitude.
Professor: What?
Michael: I don't know.

reticulated giraffe

The reticulated giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis reticulata), also known as the Somali giraffe, is a subspecies of giraffe native to the Horn of Africa. It lives in Somalia, southern Ethiopia, and northern Kenya. There are approximately 8,500 individuals living in the wild. The reticulated giraffe was described and given its binomial name by British zoologist William Edward de Winton in 1899, however the IUCN currently recognizes only one species of giraffe with nine subspecies.

Reticulated giraffes can interbreed with other giraffe species in captivity or if they come into contact with populations of other species in the wild.

Together with the Rothschild's giraffe, it is by far the giraffe that is most commonly seen in zoos. Its coat consists of large, polygonal, liver-colored spots outlined by a network of bright-white lines. The blocks may sometimes appear deep red and may also cover the legs. Giraffes are the tallest mammals in the world.
Me: That's a cute reticulated giraffe you have there!
The scared zoo owner who saw me break inside his zoo: Yeah, uh, thanks. Get out.
