When one becomes depressed as the fun of the holidays comes to an end and everyone has to return to their boring, everyday lives.

Often goes hand-in-hand with christmas tight.

Bob: "What is Steve's problem?"

Sue: "I think he has a severe case of Post-Holiday Depression (PHD). I heard him crying when his co-workers in the next cubicle were talking about their holiday vacations.

Post Holiday Depression 

Post Holiday Depression (PHD) : General feeling of sadness and depression and hatred of all things work-related soon after a long holiday. Symptoms usually show at least 4 hours into the first work day after a holiday and can linger for up to a year until the next festive season.

No known deaths have have recorded due to PHD, but severe cases of office in-fighting, bickering, and crying have been noted in the IT industry soon after New Years.

Sue came back from the Cape Town with a severe case of Post Holiday Depression and refuses to send those invoices!

Post Holiday Syndrome 

The syndrome you have when you have gone through a holiday and no longer have a functional daily rhythm. A person with a Post Holiday Syndrome will then be awake at night and sleep at day. It may be in relation to the heavy partying a lot of people do when on holidays.

Guy: "Dude, I can not possibly go to school now! I haven't gone to bed before 3:00 AM in the last 2 weeks! All this partying has been killing me!"
Dude: "You're not the only one with a Post Holiday Syndrome..."

stepping in post holes 

Being so drunk, yet walking as carefully as possible. Its so drunk t is as if you are stepping in unseen holes with heavy staggering, massive dips and sways, side lunging and a lot of losing and attempting to regain balance.

Bob was so shitfaced when he walked from his car he was stepping in post holes for about 20 feet and finally did a face plant. Perhaps he should not have been driving.
