Something that, through social activity, proves that the United States citizens are slowly losing their freedoms. It is also a joke to try to use weasel words so to make sure nobody gets offended when, in the end, everything still is the same. Political correctness is also targeted only selected groups, which shows it's just another political play with racism and hatred.

politically correctness is often used to force someone else to comply with YOUR thinking. Example: Bill Clinton imposed a SIN TAX because HE/THEY could. Being extreme liberal, this was allowed to slide. Georgia's Governor Sonny Perdue ( a republican tax and spend Liberal ) passed a sin tax of his own and banned smoking in the work place, including large manufactoring plants, and any public gathering. He also manipulated the state worker's insurance to charge them an extra 40 dollars per month as punishment.
Now, I said all this.... Still paying attention***
Now the PC target is OBESITY. They have already change the thinking as to what is obese. What used to be twice normal body weight is now just 20 lbs. over normal body weight. Just 20 pounds overweight and someone will shout at you in McDonalds for eating a big mac. (This is already happening).
Soon, those 20lbs overweight will be paying more for airline tickets, health insurance, and the list goes on.
Then what will be next??? Blondes?? Brunettes?? Redheads?? or maybe those who have body odor.

A phenomena perpetuated by politicians, mainly liberals, with the purpose of eliminating stereotypes. This stems from the fact that words now become occasionally associated with negative images. For example: Mexican denotes an illegal immigrant who works for below-minimum wage and doesn't speak English; Black means that a person is on welfare and is a gang member; White conjures the image of someone who is rich, uppity, fake, and wimpy; Southern describes a person as a stupid racist redneck; and Crippled is associated with someone who is old and cannot contribute to society. Ultimately it is a well-intentioned, but nonetheless bad, idea. It is a bad idea because if we start referring to people as "Caucasian" or "African American" then those words will begin to be associated with the same images that "White" and "Black" were. Another reason it will not work is because it tries to change people's thought processes and people generally don't like it when their heads are messed with. It treats people like they are children who don't understand. The third reason it is a terrible idea which will fail is because it is nonsensical: I know several black people who were born in Africa and should be called African Americans. But if a black person is born in England and moves to America would they be called African Americans? Or what about a white person born in Africa? Black Americans or simply Black should be what they are called. In short, Poltical Correctness is an unintelligent idea taken too far.

Often, the biggest defenders of free speach are the liberals. In the case of political correctness (PC) the liberals are killing the 1st amendment. PC is an idea to replace everything that could be considered "ofensive" (whether they are or not) with a more complicated term that may or may not be more offensive (midget-vertically challanged/dwarf or retarded-mentally challanged). Some of the most used PC terms are racial (African American, Hispanic American, Caucasian American, Native American etc)Why can't we all just be Americans?

The elimination of common sense to please everyone so no one, especially a minority, is offended. Institutionalized brainwashing invented by facist liberals to advance socialism and eliminate cultural/social/gender differences that, for some reason, may offend the very few. The irony is that politcal correectness is offensive in itself. According to politcal correctness, identifying a person by their race i..e “black” insinuates bigotry or that persons who want a control on illegal immigration are racists. Political correctness is the dumbest philosophy and has become a laughing stock today. When hearing politically correct people speak, I just want to punch them in their face. They sound condescending and act like we are a bunch of racist, socially-challenged nitwits who can’t think for ourselves. The funny thing about politically correct people is that they don’t know what they believe, and walk around and talk like they’re in Oz and oblivious to society.
