Or it could be spelled "purrfurations" --- same diff. Refers to da assorted holes and slits dat your fluffy feline friend makes in your furniture, curtains, etc, but then acts so adorably cute and throat-rumblingly affectionate afterwards dat you don't have da heart to "give him what-for" as a result. Think how helplessly charmed da wishy-washy Jon Arbuckle always is ("Like putty in my paws!") whenever Garfield gives him da syrupy simpery smile after majorly sharpening his claws on da sofa.

Purrforations could also have another spelling --- "prrrforations" --- and in dat case would allude to da heat/chemical-burn holes in da crotch of yer briefs dat eventually appear when you fart profusely.
