New Gay Syndrome 

The patterns of behavior frequently exhibited by (usually) young people who have recently come out, guided by a thirst to discover a world containing homosexuality and other homosexuals than themselves, which may strongly contrast to the heteronormative world they grew up in. Common behaviors include reading gay literature or watching gay films, using Wikipedia to memorize the names of all gay celebrities, or joining a gay club or group to meet friends or potential lovers. An occasional related behavior is the consumption of slash fanfiction.

When I had New Gay Syndrome, I read a bunch of lesbian romance novels. Glad I got that out of my system!

A popular gay. Usually seen in, or from, upstate New York. These gays fit in well with straight high school/college jocks. They’re often seen on Snapchat cuddling or in close proximity to conventionally straight men.

John: Hey man. Who was that guy in your bed last night??

Nick: oh, that’s just Andrew. He’s from New York.

John: ohhh I didn’t know you were gay.

Nick: ME? GAY? Nahhh... Andrew is a New York Gay. Ya know?

New Ulm Gay 

When a group of guys are very close friends and comfortable with their sexuality. They will participate in things such as streaking together, saying very sexual things to each other, and can say that they have seen each other naked more times than their wives or girlfriends.

Person 1 " Wow, you guys tend to act pretty gay with each other."

Person 2 "We aren't actually gay, just New Ulm gay."

Gay New Yorkese 

A slang lexicon used primarily by those identifying with LGBTQIA+ identities in the region of New York (and parts of New Jersey). Though the origins of this linguistic phenomenon hail from NYC and its surrounding territories, with the help of the Media (popular shows such as Will & Grace) and the Internet, Gay New Yorkese has spread across the United States and the world. Gay New Yorkese includes colloquial metaphors, abbreviations, sounds, and even emoticons!

I don't know what you read from my conversation with him, but in Gay New Yorkese, he literally said "You have a nice chest. Fuck me." Who knows if I will ever hit that.
