Musclehead

A selfish, narcisstic, egotistical person in the gym or fitness center. One who is a bodybuilder (see also body builders) or aspiring strength maniac who usually looks at others with disdain unless they need them for a spot. They almost never put their weights away when they're done with their exercise -- sometimes leaving a pile of 45's (45-pound plates) next to the machine or leaving a heavy load of plates remaining on the machine. They usually either wear shredded, revealing clothes or hide their bodies (or bacne) under thick, cotton sweatshirts and sweatpants. They also might wear heavy clothes to keep warm and avoid the chills from feeling so lousy while they are in ketoacidosis and dropping body fat before bodybuilding competition. Or, maybe they just prefer old school cotton sweatshirts over newer synthetic fitness attire.

The extreme muscleheads appear to be angry and on the verge of an outburst, possibly a state of roid rage. If you are on a machine that they want to use, they are likely to just stand nearby and stare at you while you are exercising, instead of asking you how many sets you have remaining or whether they can 'work in.' The extremists also tend to drop weights or toss dumbbells after their last repetition.

Think ... the gym version of a road hog in traffic.
Dude, YOU ask that musclehead to put his plates away!

muscle bear

The three "h's" of "Bear" are "Husky, Hirsute and Homosexual." Add "Muscle" in front and the term defines:

a. A hairy (esp. chest)ed gay man, usually of middle years or more, who is well-muscled or well defined ("cut")usually from body-building or progressive-resistance gym work, with visible attributes such as forearm "guns" or "six-pack abs."

b. More generally, any hairy-chested mature (usually but not definitively) gay male who is at least somewhat physically fit, especially one who presents an imposing or dominant presence. Facial hair and a blue-collar look such as the cliche plaid lumberjack shirt add to the image.
(Definition a) -- "OK, in a day when 'Muscle Bear' has started to nudge out older descriptions like "virile, red-blooded, hairy-chested American male, who do you think is really a muscle bear? Can you put it in terms I'd understand?" -- "Oh, you mean gay porn! Blake Nolan, Dean Coulter, probably Arpad Miklos who wears his muscles so well, possibly Ross Hurston, the power bottom from England, and maybe the very hairy hunky Ray Harley. If Ray grew a beard and played the sexual top more often, I think he'd qualify.

But to me, the quintessential Muscle Bear is Tim Kelly in the HOM gay-porn vids. Woof!"

(Definition b) -- "Mary's straight-as-an-arrow husband Lochinvar is six foot one, hairy, a little chunky but still in good shape from outdoor work. He's forty-three and wears a goatee. Is it safe to call him a muscle bear?" -- "Well, you'd better check it out with Mary to see if he would get upset at any gay inference. But if Mr. L. grows a beard and starts hanging out in taverns every evening, perhaps Mary should start worrying. And why are YOU so concerned, might I ask?"

musclecar

A car built by the hardknocks for the hardknocks. These cars (mostly built between the 50's and the early 80's)have more HP and torque than 20 rice burners combined. With insperational designs and epic engines. Not to be confused with an import engine (which sounds way to much like the vibrators i commonly see on porn movies. NO, im talking about the earth trembling low pitch rumble of a V8.
If that kid werent such a stupid mother fucker, he would have spent his money restoring a muscle car. But instead, he somehow spent 50 grand on a muffler and a paint job for his moms honda.

musclecar

There are many different definitions of musclecar (see the two word spelling: muscle car). Common elements are
American + 2 door + V8 + rear wheel drive. Some people even add a date/time/year element (silly, I think). Some people add a price element, ie, a musclecar provides good power at an affordable price, whereas a supercar provides good power, but is very expensive.

I propose that a musclecar is simply any car with muscle, ie, a good power-to-weight ratio. I suggest 10 pounds or less per horsepower. Therefore, a MINIMUM requirement would be:

2,000 lbs. = 200+ hp.
3,000 lbs. = 300+ hp.

To go with the economy idea, say $100 per hp. Therefore, the 2,000 lb., 200 hp car would cost $20,000. The 3,000 lb., 300 hp car would cost $30,000. Unfortunately, the $ amounts would have to be adjusted with inflation.

Maybe we could come up with a definition that does NOT need modification with time, rating the musclecar as a percentile of the new car population available that year.

We could say the 0-60 and quarter mile times must be better than 75% of the other new cars available that year.

We could say the price should be less than 10% above the average price of a new car that year. We could reserve "supercar" for more expensive cars, and raise the performance parameters to 90%+.
