fix it fic

A "fix it fic" is a fanfiction where the problems are solved. Characters who were originally dead in the actual books, shows, or movies, are now alive and well... catastrophes are prevented by the author of the fanfiction and (almost) everyone gets the happy ending they deserved, but never got in the orignal work.

In a Harry Potter "fix it fic" that I read, Cedric Diggory, Sirius Black, Fred Weasley, Remus Lupin, and Nymphadora Tonks all lived to be happy and safe like they should have in the books!

Briggsy'll Fix It 

A short-lived 1990s television programme based on Jim'll Fix It in which gay art icon Briggsy made the dreams of homosexuals come true. One classic episode featured Briggsy riding a greased pig through Liverpool before masturbating into the River Mersey whilst singing "I am what I am"

Fix-it baby 

when a marriage is going wrong spouses will often have what is known as a 'fix it baby.' A fix it baby is suppose to enhance family harmony and promote family solidarity. However, if the issue isn't resolved within the marriage than a baby will only be a temporary patch in hole of your marriage.

"Hey man, my wife and I have been having a lot of fights lately... I'm not sure if our marriage is going to make it... I don't know what to do."
