A guy who drives a cab.
This guy often doesn't speak much English, but he may have been a brain surgeon in his home country (Ukrania, Cambodia, Eritrea, pick one) so give him a little respect, especially if he drives like a total bad ass.

It's rude not to tip the cabbie, unless he almost gets you killed or doesn't give you an honest fare.

The act of performing a smooth driving move while in a car.

Derived from Chicago cab drivers performing questionable and slick moves to get through traffic faster.

After passing on the right as soon as the light turns green, getting ahead of the first car. Driver says to passenger "Cabbie shuffle baby!"

Changing lanes while cutting someone off. Yelling out the window "Cabbie shuffle!"

Zipping in a parking space front-first to steal the spot from another car. "Cabbie shuffle suck-a-duck!"

Pulling a U-turn in traffic to quickly grab a parking space on the other side of the street. "Caaaaaaaaaaaaabbie shuffle!"

The wad of money a cab driver gathers in any given shift. Usually comprised of smaller denominations.

That veteran Hack sure knows how to scoop up the Cabbie Cake. He can sure put the heat on the street and when he displays his Cabbie cake it is taken as a warning to others that this is his zone. He owns it in style as he hoists the Cabbie cake high in the air. An intimidating gesture clearly intended to strike uneasiness in others.

noun: a student who attends Cab Calloway School of the Arts. May be insane, crazy, and/or psycho according to wordly standards. Has a union with other cabbies. Can usually be seen doing stereotypical artsy things or attempting to bother chartards.

As cabbies, we unite to act ridiculous together and also to make art. Sort of.
