The act of masturbating before a night out. The safety wank is used to prevent testosterone levels rising during a night out 'with the boys' when surrounded by females.
Friend 1: "You on the pull tonight?"
Friend 2: "You had your safety wank yet then?"
Friend 1: "What's a safety wank?"
