A phenomenon resulting from an attempt to pass off a fallacious story as factual, only to subsequently have the story proven wrong, resulting in exhibited defensiveness, bitterness and embarrassment on the part of the teller of said false story.

The term was derived from the following thread (created by a poster names "nerdster") on the NC State message boards:

Nerfstick 

A nerfstick is the tool by which a moderator or admin on an online forum strikes down on bad posts and posters. It is similar to, but has more uses than the ban hammer.

This use of the term seems to have originated from a moderator on the Secret World forums.

Example 1:
Sappho: "I have a very large nerf-stick at my disposal, and I'm not afraid to use it"

Example 2:
User: Where is the nerfstick Sappho? Are you getting soft on us?

Antonym of "Einstein" as relates in general to "genius". Not smart. Lacking intelligence. Dumb as a box of rocks. 0 < IQ < 1.

Did you know that Albert Einstein is rumored to have had a cousin who was as dumb as Albert was smart? Friedrich "Freddy" Neinstein.

Watch out for that guy around here. He may be a boss, but he's a real Neinstein!
