McEvoy Challenge

A "McEvoy Challenge" is a cocktail consisting of one shot of Whiskey and one shot of Tia Maria served in separate highball glasses and usually drunk one after the other in fast succession. The cocktail is most commonly found in parts of South Western Ireland and is popular among students. The drinking of a McEvoy Challenge between friends is usually accompanied by both parties exchanging kind words of friendship for approximately 3 minutes before and after consuming the cocktail.
It would be common for two friends to go to the bar for a McEvoy Challenge to celebrate after winning a badminton match together.
