1. noun Serious or sincere talk used between people currently in or from the downtown/midtown Sacramento, California area. Often times used so that a person knows the speaker is just trying to be sincere or honest
2. noun Conversation relating to the location of landmarks, buildings, streets, and other places of interest inside of the downtown/midtown area of Sacramento, California.

1. "What do you think of my new girlfriend?"
"Yo, that hipster skeez is wack and you need to drop her and her fixed gear back off at Rancho, son. That's grid talk."
2. "Where's Safeway?"
"S and 19th but that doesn't really help you because it's grid talk and you're from Boston, idiot"
