a phrase someone says when some issue that they're trying to bring to light is making things way more tense than it should be. the person putting it out there says "gee golly wilikers" after he suggests it to relieve the tension.

1. Expression used to show amazement. Mainly from the beginning to middle of the 20th century, used today as a joke and when around old and/or religious people who would probably take away your share of the will if "holy fuck" or such was used.
