RAP - The reason our culture of today is going down the tubes; by its inflamatory lyrics Rap encourages todays youth to enbrace a culture of gang related violence, drug and acohol abuse, lack of respect for women and law enforcement. Rappers claim that all rockers do is scream and moan about their problems which rock does not do but more likely modern punk and emo music. They also say that we need a whole group of musicians to make music while they only need one, which might be another reason that their music is so alienating. One of the finer points of music is a group comming together in all its parts to make a song, while rap is mostly words talked out to a beat. Another thing is that rappers say the distorted guitar sounds like a fart ( a distorted guitar is one of the best type of guitars) well if you think that chances are your listining to a bad guitarist, listen to some good guitarist like for example....... jimi hendrix, jeff beck, duane allman, jimmy page, eric clapton, kirk hammit, jerry cantrell, kenny wayne shepherd, and the list just keeps going on. and also thay say that the drums are just hitting things with sticks, let me say its actualy work to play drums...and again thay might be listening to a bad drummer. it takes talent to play rock. so rap take some singing lessons, and pick up and instrument.........a guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, even a harmanica anything ( there is nothing wrong with harmonica by the way). and write about real stuff well your at it too.

Honestly some of it is "OK" but mostly yea it is CRAP....most of it is stupid and meaningless...well the only meaning it has is either sex, money, drugs ect....Ik there are some songs other than that but it's only like 5%.... like that song "i'm on a boat" WTF?!?! or "Birthday Sex" the only thing it basically says is Birthday Sex..It's retarted. There is others but i dnon't feel like naming anymore...

The worst excuse for music ever. 99.99 percent of rap is awful. if theyre not talking about busting a whitey's ass they're talking about repping their gang,shooting up cops,getting money or getting 12 hoes. There's no instruments only 3 fucking synthesized notes that repeat 500 times through the whole fucking songAt least music like classical and metal has instrumental genuis to it. I'm not saying I listen to everything but I appreciate any music that they use instruments in. Classical and metal have emotion to it. It goes through your fucking body like something is compelling you. Too bad that's not the deal with rap. When you listen to rap you feel nothing. Don't get me wrong there are some good rappers. But only a few. Ex: Common, The Roots,The Fugees, Eminem. So rap is gay. Vivaldi kicks ass any day.

An excuse for being music by the retards that enjoy it, but be assured it's just a very simpled minded childish elementary schemed game, and game is the key word. (It's a fucking game is what I mean you fucking brainless retards.) Bored little poor kids made it, stupid people, and billions of dollars is how it got where it got today. The music is shit, but it's really the stupid fucking brainless people killing themselves to try to look coo whom insist that they like it is what actually pisses everyone off.
After having it in my face my whole life, and coming from right next to minutes away from the projects the music itself is the downfall of humanity, and what has come from it depresses me. For instants kids as young as 10 are selling drugs, as well as getting pregnant from trying to act coo, and mature.
Composure wise rap gamers (not at all artist) barely - to do not at all make their own beats. They sample some "beats" from a DJ's machine (it makes the beat), and decide which ones give them the best adrenaline flow to think the best. The rest is just smack talk.
As for the stupid fucking brainless people that like it, I relay this message to you - it's time to move on soldier. Hear me out. The only quality part of it is its beat, and just try to imagine there's music where the beat is just as good, and a lot better (being much more complex), but is only just 25% of the entire song's composure, but it's made by people's hands/feet(drums). Also hating rap has nothing to do with hating black people, it's about hating poverty, and those who thrive in its misery. After all the blues, and R&B (-modern day r&b) is all about black people, and ever music fan like them.

2pac - greatest ever fullstop! No arguments needed, don't even try!
Biggie Smalls - this is debatable coz his ish wasn't even all that save a few gems that were dropped here and there but nowhere near the amount of quality raps as Pac, Nas or even Jay-Z for that matter.
Common Sense - He's in here coz he's my favorite and he's just too consistent. This is champagne rap/hip hop getting better with time. In my opinion, far more skilled lyrically than BIG and Pac put together. Only people like Tali, Mos Def and KRS are on his level here
Rakim - Now we all know what he's done for hip hop, so that's why he's here.
Nas - coz he is that good. Lyrically on his own, style of his own, kept it real MOST of his career (drop the bravehearts bull***t)
Mos Def - Name speaks for him. But who else is there that's been doin it the same way and keeping his rep intact for so long?
KRS-One - First face of the source magazine. This dude birthed a generation of rappers single handedly and has remained one of the truest crusaders of hip hop and the learning behind it.
Eminem - Do I really need to write anything? It's a shame that this guy ccame through and took over the game with so much ease. Yea, we got sick of him but we still bought the albums, yea we were sick of his disses, but he was so damn clever, yea he's white but he's so much better than a black rapper (don't hate - I'm black) This dude is crazy but he is right there with the legends EASILY.
Jay-Z - I hate this cat with a passion but he too is really THAT GOOD! He's been doing his thing long enough and good enough for me to be able to say that he's got a spot in the 'legends' fray. But let it be known that he is still a weak rapper with very little substance these days.
50 Cent - Give it up for this kid for being the bully that don't give a ***t. He ain't here becoz he's a lyrical mack 10, this nigga revived hip hop in a lack lustre time when a slew of rappers were taknig it downhill bar a few. He is the highest grossing rapper right now (2nd only to Pac) and will not be toppled by anyone soon. He's a legend whether you like it or not.
