a term used to describe a gambler's last, futile attempt to come up at a casino or gambling parlor by placing all his remaining chips on the roulette table and betting on black. the term is a reference to the Wesley Snipes vehicle "Passenger 57" wherein Mr. Snipes admonishes terrorist Charles Rane to always bet on black should he ever find himself playing roulette.
After three crushingly cold shoes of blackjack, Brian reluctantly decided to pull a passenger 57 with his last two hundred dollars.
