To be selfish, to take all of something. Often used in reference to Marijuana. Named for Neil Bogart the label boss who requested that the title track of Donna Summer's 1975 album "Love to Love You Baby" be stretched to a 16 minute plus track which filled out one whole side of the LP. This only left room for 5 songs on the other side, because Neil had "Bogarted" the whole first side.
