A slang term or euphemism for "dating" originated from the Taiwanese dub of The Owl House, where Amity says "我們盛裝出遊吧!" which translates to "Let's dress up and travel together!"

The dub has been ridiculed and memed on so much that it has now become a meme in the Owl House fandom and is spreading to other cartoon fandoms.

Amity: "Let's dress up and travel together!"
Luz: "Noooo.... I was so ready."
Amity: "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, you can say it."
Luz: "Amity Blight, let's dress up and travel together!"
Amity: "Yes!"
Luz: "Okay!"

A phrase used when you either

A: hear about or see something that you would pay large amounts of money for.
B: Hear about an awesome idea you would actively invest in.

The origin comes from Futurama Season 6 episode 3.

Johnny: "Hey Bobby, did you hear about the new X Box? It's got compatibility with blu-ray, downloadable content of old console games, no red ring of death, and gives you a handjob every time you win a game!"

hurry up and wait

A phrase commonly found in the military. This phrase depicts the day-to-day grind of soldiers where they have to "hurry up" to point B only to have to wait hours for the event to occur. This phrase also applies to anything that requires you to be on time but does not start for a good while.

Example A: While at the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS), we were told to arrive on time at 6 AM but in processing did not start until 9 AM. We practiced the "hurry up and wait" policy.

Example B: I did 80 just to get to the doctor's office on time, and he did not even show up for another hour. It was another case of hurry up and wait.

The term is used to define a person who is not in tune with reality. A person who is stuck in the world of make-believe.

A person who doesn't believe fat meat is greasy. A person who doesn't want to believe shit stinks.

A buddy of mine John is no longr cool with me because I made wake him wake up and smell the doodoo about the music business. He wanted to believe artists made more off of ablums than record companies.

Once reality kicked in, he hates my guts because his heart was filled with greed.
