Placing extra drinks at your table to either "hold" your place while you get up to go somewhere, or to discourage people in an overcrowded bar from sitting down or placing their drinks on your table. Kind of like puting your coat on the seat next to you at the movies.
Joe arrived at the club, grabbed the last table in the place, and set up a tea party to wait for the others to arrive.

To call, educate, inspire, and motivate to action all Americans and our elected representatives to restore out of control governments — at all levels — to governments that are operated according to the precepts and principles of our Founders and the limits imposed by our Founding Documents.
Tea party members would be against borrowing from future generations, monetizing debt (printing money to pay own bills), legally require insurance purchase to be a citizen.

What the Tea Party movement is. It is a growing number of ordinary people who instinctively know that something is very wrong. It is a growing number of people who have had enough! It is a growing number of people who are finding their voice as well as finding the courage to use that voice to say "We have had enough!" The Tea Party movement is made up of ordinary people from all walks of life, Democrats, Republicans and Independents alike who are willing to stand up and take all the smears and the lies that the people who fear them the most will throw at them. It is all about accountability and responsibility.
It is not a corporation. It is not lead by or funded by any corporation. You cannot point to anyone and say "There is the Leader of The Tea Party"
Like I said it is ordinary people who have had enough of out of control government spending. It is people who have had enough of an ever expanding intrusive government. The Tea party is not anti-government. It is pro-Constitution and limiting the power of government. It is all about family and friends helping each other. We do not need big Government to take of us.

The Tea Party movement is a grassroots movement of millions of like-minded Americans from all backgrounds and political parties. Tea Party members share similar core principles supporting the United States Constitution as the Founders intended, such as:

• Returning political power to the states and the people

As a movement, The Tea Party is not a political party nor is looking to form a third political party any time soon. The Tea Party movement, is instead, about reforming all political parties and government so that the core principles of our Founding Fathers become, once again, the foundation upon which America stands.

The tea party is not just a bunch of conservative pissed off redneck, the tea party is actually a liberal party. A classical liberal party. Liberal means "liberty" and that's means freedom, and that is what the tea party means. The United States view of liberal is allowing people to have sex, even if it's gay, or a threesome, or whatever, whenever they please. They are big on drugs and that stuff, but they don't believe in true economic freedom. The liberals are the ones that are not truly "liberal" and they are taking away our economic freedoms for a replacement of other "rights".
Your typical member of the tea party is truly you average working class American. They want their money and they want to be paid fully for what they work for, instead of spreading the wealth to unmarried pregnant teenagers on weed who live in California who are pretending to be bisexual.
