InFocus is a brand of projectors.

However, ignorant folks think infocus is just another word for "projector" and will call any projector "an infocus".

-Yo, man, I bought me a sony infocus for watching movies!
-Don't be stupid, man, you mean a sony projector. InFocus is a brand, not a generic term.
-Really? I didn't know.
