cross-reference 

A shameless high-pressure verbal strategy used by a fake/insincere Bible-blabber merely in an attempt to manipulate others into doing what he wants, convert to his faith and/or join his church, etc.; said strategy involves speaking vehemently about "The Great J.C." and how He met His untimely demise.

A local druggie tried to cross-reference me into trying some of his crap --- claiming it was "divine matter from The Holy Spirit Himself" --- but I just shruggingly waved him off.

Cross referencing

A commonly used phrase to inform someone (usually a supervisor or someone in charge) that you have absolutely no idea what the answer to a particular question or problem is, but that you will do some digging immediately...

Captain Kirk: "ensign, do we have any data or record of a previous encounter on this enemy craft?"

Ensign: "... cross referencing all known databases now Captain!"

To creepily stalk another person by looking at their accounts on two different websites (Ex. Twitter, Facebook) and then discussing they websites in comparison.

"She wrote on my Facebook wall about my latest Tweet. How creepy. Such Crossreference internet stalking."
