The opposite of procrastination. When you get everything you've set out to do (or are required to get done) in record time & are bored because you did it so damn fast.

GN

An acronym for "graphic novel". A sort of expanded comic book but one that tells a complete story rather than a classic comic book in which the story does not have a traditional ending and may be told for years.

Watchmen, The Dark Knight Returns and V for Vendetta are all considered milestone GNs.

OVS

Acronym for "obvious vanity shot." The digital photos of individuals mainly seen on Facebook or MySpace pages that were quite plainly taken by the subject themselves. Clues to look for include the person's own arm extending to one of the lower corners of the shot, indicating they were holding the camera themselves & their own dorky smiles showing they simply can't get enough of their own good looks.

A totally pretentious way of saying that a fact will follow or has preceded a statement. Typically used so a writer can sound more intelligent than they actually are.

Thus, Luke Skywalker defeated his father in a lightsaber duel and Anakin Skywalker threw the Emperor down the reactor shaft of the Death Star, thus ending the tyranny of the Empire, thus setting the stage for the New Republic.

fartcan

Any muffler with a wider exhaust port that allows for a louder sound. Typically found on cars owned by drivers who can't afford a real street-racing car but want to act like they have one.

Fartcans are installed on cars strictly to make noise to annoy other drivers.

A stupid way of saying "would have" or "would've". In essence, it's bad grammar & no one seems to care.

I would of typed my paper using proper grammar but it is what it is.
