Data Rot

Data degraded or no longer readable because of media wear or hardware no longer viable.

Those reel to reel tape are over 10 years old. We no longer have the equipment to read them. Someone should have put the data on a disk instead of letting it go to Data Rot.

A glitch in an application or environment, where the text displayed is not the text being edited.

Vi is prone to Ghosting.

Slack Time Error

An error caused by scheduling an event past the time it will be looked for.

That problem occured because of a Slack Time Error. The trigger file was written but the program expecting it had already timed out.
