In regards to recreational activities or video games, someone who must put forth 100% effort to come out victorious. As opposed to someone who doesn't need to do their best to win a game or contest.
Player A: "Yeah we won! Get pwned noobs."
Player B: "Shut up kid, you're such a tryhard. Wait till next game when I rape you."

This term is applied when playing first-person shooter video games, such as Halo, Call of Duty, or another top selling video game title, more specifically Call of Duty.

When someone is using a sniper rifle, and takes longer than approximately 1 second looking down the scope.

A more extreme example is when watching a kill-cam, the player is scoped in from beginning to end, or the player is looking through the scope for the majority or the kill cam.

Antonym: Quickscope
Player A: "Guys, check out this nice headshot i got for the game winning kill!"

Player B: "Wow that shot wasn't impressive at all, you hardscoped the shit out of that kid."

Player C: "Dude, you're such a noob."

1) A term used to depict a time period where a lack of skill, ability, or performance was displayed. It is also used to mock people who "find the cheap way" to play games or perform tasks. This term can be used to many different types of situations.
Examples:

Applied to Work:

Boss: "Damn it Johnson! These papers are NOT in alphabetical order. What is this, Amateur Hour?"

Applied to Video Games:

Player A: "Wow, that kid is using a glitch. I forgot it was amateur hour this time of day."

Applied to Home:

Mom: "Rodney, your room is filthy. I thought I said clean it."
Son: "I did clean it."
Mom: "Did you clean it during amateur hour or something? This is atrocious!"

Applied to School:
Professor: "The class average was a D+ on this exam...seriously class, is it amateur hour when you all come here?"
