winsomnia

Insomnia caused by staying up into the wee hours of morning to watch a game that starts late or goes into overtime, or both. Most commonly experienced by extremely devoted fans in the Eastern Standard timezone whose team is playing on the West coast. Winsomniacs are known to obsessively deny themselves sleep until they know the outcome of the game, driven by the hope of witnessing a win.

"Uh you're wearing two different shoes today."

"Yeah.. Wings finally turned up the heat in the third period, and it was winsomnia from there on out. I don't even know how I got here."

Insomnia

The inability to sleep like regular individuals. As much as you tell yourself you’ll sleep that night, your mind just won’t shut down. Medications won’t work, meditation helps. (It’s all in your little crazy head.)

Birthday insomnia

Insomnia that occurs the day before your birthday. In the morning before your birthday tomorrow, you start to feel excited on the inside but not on the outside. In the nighttime, when you try to go to sleep you can't because tomorrow is your birthday and you stay up late that's where birthday insomnia mainly comes into play.

I can't sleep.
Why?
Because tomorrow is my birthday and when I try to go to sleep my body lets me stay up late.
Then you must have birthday insomnia.

Wikomnia

(n.) A mental disorder similar to insomnia. Wikomnia causes the victim to forgo the prudent option of sleep in lieu of endlessly browsing Wikipedia articles well into the night/morning. Patients who suffer from Wikomnia frequently show signs of always knowing a random factual tidbit of information to fit into every conversation regardless of the topic and waking up at dinner time without having completed any useful work the night before.

Jon's wikomnia kept him up all night reading wikipedia articles about why the banana is an endangered species of fruit.
