A male unicorn; a mythical creature with powers of attraction so alluring that women want to be with him and men admire and want to befriend him. Keep fucking that chicken for a multilingual world. The notion that, if you're translating something into a language you don't really understand, you're probably going to get it wrong, so you might as well really go for it and get it as wrong as you possibly can. Originates from a Chinese restaurant menu.

Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
