first used by tlc in the song unpretty, this word describes a girl who may be beautiful, but because of someone else’s opinion, feels insecure and unhappy with her own self and wants to change. unpretty is being pretty but looking in the mirror and not seeing any of the beauty, just feeling like you’re not good enough or beautiful enough.

her boyfriend told her she had to lose weight and have bigger boobs, so she felt so unpretty.
