sotticism

A sotticism is a statement that denotes lack of judgement and wit. It possibly originates from the French word "sottise" which means incongruent, stupid, trifle idea or action.
Saying that ones religion is the only true one is a sotticism that only a one-eyed, one-minded, one-sided and one lame of a leg person can possibly sustain.

Stoicism

The ancient philosophy of Epictetus, Seneca the Younger, and Marcus Aurelius, among others. Stoicism focuses on living a virtuous life, and devoting yourself fully to your task at hand, while stressing indifference to the events outside of your control. Stoicism teaches that the quality of life depends entirely on the individual, and that events can only make you persistently depressed or unhappy when you are a faggot.

Stoics experience emotion like any other person, they have just realized that it is a self-harming choice to allow emotions to effect your well-being after the initial emotional reaction has passed.

A Stoic is, in effect, the extreme polar opposite of an emo.
Person 1: I find it amazing how Brian continues to exert amazing effort in his career, keep a polite demeanor around others, and continue to ritually hit the gym every morning even though his wife died last month.

Person 2: Brian practices Stoicism, he knows that reducing work ethic, ceasing politeness, or jeopardizing his health because his wife died is completely illogical.

Shiticism

The opposite of constructive criticism. This kind of criticism offers no form of help.
1: Can you listen to this song and give me constructive criticism about how I could make it better, etc.?

2: Okay, *listens to song*.

1: So, what do you think?

2: It's shit. (this criticism offers no advice, therefore is not constructive, and is therefore shiticism).

Constructive Shiticism

When you provide valid opinions for another individual with the means of helping that individual BUT in a direct, 'I don't give a shit about what you think' tone. The purpose of this direct tonality is to not beat around the bush and inform that individual of how it just is.
Friend: I want to talk to this girl in my class but I'm too scared!

Me: Grab your balls, stop bitching, and just do it.

Friend: Well....thanks for the constructive shiticism.

West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead. The term never found favour with readers of 'the inkies' (Sounds, Melody Maker and the still extant NME) and was soon dropped. Now often used in predominantly working-class areas of the midlands and the north to mean someone who listens to rock-derived music and/or dresses in a manner that suggests they affiliate themselves with rock music of some kind.
