The act of leaving a heterosexual relationship after a substantial number of years to be in a homosexual relationship, and claiming to have been homosexual all along I.e been living a lie.

My husband left me for another man, I can’t believe it. He has been schofing all this time.

In reference to Philip Schofield coming out as gay. This word describes the act of coming out as gay to your significant other in what was a heterosexual relationship.
