To give a gift that was received from someone else to a third party, without opening or using it. It involves the act of passing on a gift to another person without giving it to the original giver.
Past form of the verb "regive".

When I received the gift basket from my friend, I regave it to my neighbor who had helped me during my illness.
After the goodback in my life, I regave all my gifts to the people who helped me.

Reaver 

1. One who reaves. Archaic term for one who despoils, plunders, bereaves, takes with violence.
2. Terrifying, cannibalistic, self-mutalating savages living in the outskirts of the settled universe in Joss Whedon's Firefly and Serenity.
