Poot Butt 

A seemingly weak, or effeminate male. A punk. Often flakey or phoney. A man that is too soft and who lacks the bravery or masculinity of men considered to be strong and is contrary to men thought of as being a man's man. A coward.

Frank is a REAL man, he's not afraid to stand up to other men. He's a STRONG man. But Bobby ain't nothin' but a POOT BUTT. Marcus is also poot butt. And Larry's another 'lil poot butt.

A common word used to describe any sorry, stupid,lazy person, this word has been around in black culture for quite a while. This word is almost always accompanied by the word "mothafucka".

A stretch of time where you make a lot of poor decisions based on fear. You are in a rut because you are a 'poot butt' meaning you are weak, soft or lack toughness. Poot butt is a term often used in the African-American community to challenge someone. poot butt, weak, soft, afraid, scared

Man, I've been in a pootbutt rut for the last several months. I backed out of a job opportunity because I didn't want to move and I decided not to get engaged because I was afraid to get married. I am such an idiot!
