(v) To reference a place you've been during a conversation, whether or not it is appropriate, for the purpose of pointing out you've been there. Similar to namedropping, save that the object is to point out that you've been somewhere, not that you were with someone.

Person 1: I'm trying to lay off hard alcohol for a while.
Person 2: Oh, me, too -- ever since I was in Cabo last month, I've been watching what I drink.
Person 3: Way to placedrop Cabo in the conversation.

I like Sean, but he's constantly placedropping Chicago, like he's so cool for having gone there on vacation.

It was about halfway through the conversation that I realized I'd placedropped London six times, not even meaning to bring up my summer there.

Placebro (pla- see- bro)

When someone states that they are hanging out with a friend that is fake or made up. If a person is trying to hide something (i.e drugs, fat/ugly girl or guy)then they make plans with their placebro to keep friends from getting suspicious.

Bobby has been hangin out with this guy Jim every Friday night. Not one of his friends have ever met him. I'm starting to think Bobbys smoking crack and Jim is a "Placebro (pla- see- bro)" .

The practice of eating that deliciously moist and veiny sac that falls out of a gaping vagina after the birth of choice mammal. People often make ice cream and corn bread out of placenta. And is super delicious and magically nutritious. Pairs well with a Pinot Noir.

I stole my wife's afterbirth and practiced placentophagy. I had a yummy burger.

When you drop places you've been to in order to make yourself look good. Similar to name dropping.

Name dropping is far too blatant, when you place drop it has the same effect but comes off subtly. "I was at over at the hyde last night, it was fun."

Placebro effect

An event in which a bro who has recently undergone emotional turmoil is put at ease by the mere act of being around his brethren, though in actuality they offer no constructive advice or amelioration of his dilemma. It is oftentimes used in complete substitution of problem solving and leads to the inability to handle trying situations.

Bro 1: "Yeah, last night I found out my girlfriend had been cheating on me. I was bummed at first but then all the guys went and got some Buds and watched 300 so it's whatever."
Bro 2: "You know, the placebro effect is only temporarily useful. Real talk, you're going to have sort out your problems at some point".
