The true chemical in toadstool mushrooms that makes you trip. It is converted from Ibotenic Acid in the body (or through a chemical reaction called decarboxylation) and causes vivid dreams and/or slight hallucinations. Muscimol generally takes two hours to effect the body once consumed because of the conversion from Ibotenic Acid. During this period, one would commonly fall asleep and have vivid dreams. When they awake, they begin to have visions and may be energetic.
