"My mans and 'em" is a more recent of urban phraseology, made popular by the prolific rapper/actor DMX (Dark Man X). It means "my friends."

The feeling that somebody is missing or has just left a room or social situation. Usually lasts for a second or so, and is preceded by the sensation of said persons presence.
"Where Humphrey? ..... Ah, nevermind, just had some real bad Extra Man Syndrome (EMS), thought Humphrey was with us for a moment there."
