Hibye is defined as a quick greeting when you are to busy
and can't talk.

I was walking to the store and Molly passed by really fast and she looked at me and said hibye.

The action of saying hi and goodbye when not seen for a long period of time and then suddenly showing up to leave. (example: leaving from a meeting, quickly leaving your girl's house when parents show up after you snuck in the night before)

My supervisor yelled out Hibye as he was leaving.

Is used to describe ones relationship towards another individual.Basically an individual that you dont talk to but only when you see them you both only say either "hi" or "bye" towards one another.

Mike Doe is just a hibye friend because when i see him I say hi and bye and never stop to talk.
