To make a prediction or extend a line of thought toward a conclusion based on uncertain or insufficient information.
Since there are so many planets like earth in the universe, there must be other intelligent life, but I'm just guesstrapolating.

When reading values from a table and the value you want to look up does not appear, instead of calculating the value properly using interpolation you guess what the value would be but don't round it off, add a couple of decimal places to make it look legit.
Na, I didn't have time, so I just guessterpolated.
