grizmal

A coinage invented to describe the kind of weather found in the winter in places where winter mostly consists of greyness, dampness, and cold, such as Seattle. It meant to simultaneously evoke grey, dismal, and drizzle.
Although the day was grizmal, she put on her ski jacket and did her best to appreciate the drizzle, the leaden skies, and the stiffening cold wind.
