geekmosis

The indirect exposure of people (geeky or otherwise) to areas of geek culture that they have not come across themselves, i.e. through contact with geeks. While the cultural memes transmitted are sometimes distorted, they are still recognisable.
Geekmosis results in scenarios such as:

A liberal arts student, who has never played Starcraft but does associate with gamers, exclaiming "Kekekekeke!"

Someone who has not seen any movies from the Highlander series making jokes about how "there can be only one".

geekosystem

The natural habitat of geeks. A very fragile environment, the disruption of even one small element could throw it out of balance permanently. That is why you must never pick on geeks.
Hey, let's go teach those geeks a lesson!

No, you don't want to mess with the geekosystem

The transformation from a dude to a geek is called getting geekonised. The ultimate product is a Geek-on a organism that belongs to the Geek-dom. Geekonisation happpens mostly due to pressure from the guards of the Geek-dom a.k.a teachers. Once inside the Geek-dom there is no way out. Geekonisation is not reversible......

Geekotist

Conjunction of Geek + Egotist = Geekotist. A sci-if, fantasy, comic book know-it-all. A braggart who can't help but judge those who haven't risen to their level of geekdom.

Adj. Geekotistical
"I can't believe you don't know who directed Episode 27 of Star Trek Next Gen!" Sneered the geekotist.

"I'm not some kind of geekotist who can identify the obscure villain in the teaser clip after the credits in that X-Men movie!"

Geekosystem

The curious and nerdy makers and dreamers that live in every walk of life. Individually and together they see things not just for what they are but what they mean and can become. Often found with first generation devices from Apple and Google, they congregate in celebration of their distinct traits in gatherings called "Geekfests."
We had a party last night with VCs, start-ups, brands and agencies. It was a total geekfest.

Sounds like the whole geekosystem was there.
