The mating call of aussie blokes confirming their desire to crack a tinnie with the boys. Folk lore has it that this word derived from yes. But as it was passed down the generations it evolved into the unmistakable squawk it is today. Similar to the wolf's howl- when a drinking aged male hears this call he too shall also reply "eahh".
