daythread 

A forum thread made for each day of the week, where you discuss what you'll be doing and what you've done so far. Kinda like Twitter, but more formal. Traditionally only lasts for one day due to new daythread being created. Tolerated form of spam and inflated postcounts.

Poster 1: (starts new topic) "Welp, it's 12:01AM in London, so daythread is go."
Poster 2: "Refrigerator is making noises. Doesn't sound good."
Poster 3: "I have the worst hangover."
Poster 4: "+1"

etc, etc

daytrader 

A daytrader is a trader who buys and sells financial instruments (e.g. stocks, options, futures, derivatives, currencies) within the same trading day such that all positions will usually be closed before the market close of the trading day. This trading style is called day trading. Depending on one's trading strategy, it may range from several to hundreds of orders a day.

An institutional daytrader is a trader who works for a financial institution.
A retail daytrader is a trader who works for himself, or in partnership with a few other traders.
An auto trader is the person who performs auto-trading, which stands for automated trading and the use of computer programs and other tools to enter trading orders.

Daydread 

A version of a daydream , only instead of fantasizing about when you get off work or a love interest or the clouds floating by your office or classroom window your stuck dreading the real situations you'll have to deal with later i.e breaking up , dentist visit, undesirable social event etc.

My daydream of being Scarlet Johannsen's boyfriend was rudely interrupted by my daydread of realizing I have to go to dinner at my in-laws...

Refers to people who are fascinated with events, people, and facts which have a very short life-span of interest. Gossiping about something that really won't matter tomorrow.

She is such a daytrender; always talking about the latest hot YouTube video.
