A panacea; a cure-all for all of life's problems. Also used to permanently cure one's oxygen addiction.

Side effects include stiffness, a tendency to assume room temperature, and an overpowering urge to take a celestial dirt nap.

A fictitious drug introduced in a fake commercial skit that was done by the "Not Yet Ready for Primetime Players" in the early seasons of Saturday night Live (1970s).
This "drug" supposedly would just wash all those worries away with just one simple pill.
Very funny!
"oh, what a day! My car got a flat on the way to taking my son to school, and I was to go off to the IRS auditor's office afterward. Then I had to make funeral arrangements for my father, and my house burned down thanks to the neighborhood arsonist". "I could really use a Damitol right now. Dammitall (said like 'Damn it all'): a made up drug name. Much like the phrase 'take a chill pill',it refers to someone saying 'Damn it' repeatedly while incredibly angry or in a fit of rage and someone tells them that they 'took some Dammitall'
