cracker farm
When I lived in Oklahoma we had an employee that went nuts and tried to kill himself.
We did not here from him for a while but one day he called the office and explained that he was in the "Cracker Farm"
that"s the first time I heard a mental facility called a "Cracker Farm"
so from that point on we all at the office used the term to refer to a nut house or mentel facility.
